The NeuroNest Yoga Mind-Body-Spirit Program: The Internal System Of the MBS Spiral

A spiral pathway through grief, rebuilding, and life after loss

NeuroNest infographic shows a colorful spiral grief program: Survivors, Winter Bloom, Pathfinders, Summer Settle, Integrators.

The NeuroNest Mind-Body-Spirit (MBS) Program is an integrated pathway designed to help people understand what happens to the whole person after significant loss—and, slowly and intentionally, find their way back into life.

Grief does not happen in one part of us.

It affects the body, the mind, our sense of identity, our relationships, our routines, our ability to make decisions, and the way we understand our place in the world. NeuroNest approaches life after loss as a whole-person process, bringing together education, reflection, movement, breathwork, meditation, sound, nourishment, creativity, ritual, and community.

The MBS Program is structured as an upward spiral.

You do not simply move through grief once and leave it behind. You revisit yourself from different places, with different tools and different levels of awareness. Each section builds on what came before, while giving you room to return, pause, reflect, and grow.

The spiral begins with survival.

1. Survivors

Understanding what happened to the whole person

The Survivors section is the beginning of the MBS pathway.

The Survivors Guidebook provides the foundational framework for understanding grief and the changes that can happen after loss. It is supported by supplemental booklets including the Grounding Pack, Grief, Lunar, and Ritual booklets.

Alongside the books, the MBS Intro, Anatomy 101, and Nutrition 101 courses provide an introduction to the physical and mental realities of grief.

This stage is about learning to recognize what is happening rather than judging yourself for it.

You begin developing awareness of the body and mind as they respond to shock, disruption, stress, and loss. You begin learning basic grounding, balancing breath work, journaling, and self-observation skills that can support the earliest stages of healing.

The goal is not to “fix” grief.

The goal is to understand yourself well enough to begin finding your footing.

Winter Bloom: The First Bridge

Winter Bloom creates a deliberate pause between surviving and searching.

After the initial work of the Survivors section, there is a need for the new understanding to settle. Winter Bloom provides that space.

It is not another demand to perform healing. It is a moment to breathe, reflect, and allow the survivor's experience to become something that can be carried forward.

From here, the spiral begins to turn outward.

2. Pathfinders

Finding new ground inside a changed life

The Pathfinders section begins when a person is ready to look beyond simply surviving what happened.

The Pathfinders Guidebook is accompanied by the Incorporation, Life Logistics, and Adulting with CPTSD supplemental booklets.

The Meditation, Yoga, and Sound 101 courses expand the work into direct experiences with the body, nervous system, attention, movement, breath, and sensory awareness.

This stage is about finding new grounding inside life after loss.

The person begins to ask different questions.

Who am I now?

How do I move through a life that no longer looks the way it once did?

What parts of my old life still belong to me?

What needs to change?

What can I carry forward?

Rather than attempting to return to the person they were before loss, Pathfinders provides space to discover a new perspective on their own life.

The work becomes less about understanding what grief did and more about discovering what is possible now.

Settling In Summer: The Second Bridge

Settling In Summer is the bridge between Pathfinding and Integrating.

After the work of finding new ground, there needs to be a season in which that new understanding can become familiar.

The Summer Settle Kit exists to help people make a home in who they have become.

There is no requirement to perform, decide, or execute.

It is a season of settling.

A chance to notice what feels different.

A chance to experience belonging in the life that exists now.

A chance to pause before moving into the deeper work of integration.

3. Integrators

Bringing the new self into life

The Integrators section is where the work begins to become lived.

The Integrators Guidebook is supported by the Internal Communication, Resource Kit, and Community & Connection supplemental booklets.

The Horticulture, Alchemy, and Progress 101 courses provide additional ways to explore growth, transformation, application, and participation in the world.

This stage is about taking what has been discovered through the earlier sections and learning how to use it.

The person begins to explore communication within themselves: how different parts of their experience speak, respond, protect, resist, or need attention.

They begin examining how they communicate with other people and how they participate in their communities.

They begin rebuilding relationships with resources, responsibilities, creativity, growth, and connection.

Integration is not about becoming the person you were before.

It is about learning how to live as the person you are now.

The Internal Half of the Spiral

Survivors, Pathfinders, and Integrators form the internal half of the NeuroNest spiral.

Together, they create a progression through the changing relationship a person has with loss and with themselves.

The journey begins in shock.

It moves through the realities of denial, disruption, acceptance, and distance from the life that was lost.

Then, slowly, something changes.

The person begins to find grounding.

They begin to recognize themselves differently.

They begin to build a relationship with the life that remains.

And eventually, they begin to participate in that life again—not because the loss did not matter, but because their life has become larger than the loss.

This is the purpose of the MBS Program.

Not to erase grief.

Not to return someone to who they were.

Not to promise that healing is linear.

The spiral exists because people are not linear either.

We circle back.

We revisit.

We remember.

We discover something new in something we thought we already understood.

And each time we return, we can return with a little more awareness, a little more language, a little more grounding, and a little more capacity to live.

NeuroNest provides the space, education, and practices to make that movement possible.

From surviving,

to finding,

to settling,

to integrating.

A spiral upward.

A way back to life after grief.
