✨ GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: What is NeuroNest Yoga?
A trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming yoga and wellness space. We combine ancient wisdom (yoga, Ayurveda) with modern neuroscience and somatic healing to support people who’ve lived through hard things. This is not fitness yoga. This is coming home to yourself.
Q: Who is this for?
NeuroNest is for:
Trauma survivors
Neurodivergent folx (Autism, ADHD, etc.)
Grievers, sensitives, and empaths
Anyone needing a safe, grounded healing practice
People disillusioned with toxic wellness culture or ableist yoga studios
Q: Do I need prior yoga experience?
Nope. Come as you are—fidgety, frozen, tearful, joyful, skeptical. This is a zero performance, zero pressure space. You are not here to impress. You are here to heal.

🧠 TRAUMA-INFORMED APPROACH
Q: What makes this “trauma-informed”?
We prioritize:
Choice over compliance (opt-out always allowed)
Safety over performance (no forced postures or hands-on adjustments)
Nervous system literacy (we teach regulation, not rigidity)
Accessibility in pace, language, and environment
Consent, always—verbally and energetically
Q: What if I get triggered during a session?
You’re allowed to:
Pause
Leave
Sit still
Rock, stim, cry, or wrap up in a blanket
We create grounding exits and offer support tools—but you are the expert of your body. We’ll never override that.
Q: Do you work with survivors of [insert trauma]?
Yes. Whether it’s grief, abuse, loss, burnout, complex PTSD, or spiritual crisis—our work centers survivors. We won’t ask you to “transcend” pain. We teach how to be with it, safely.
🌀 NEURODIVERGENCE & ACCESSIBILITY
Q: Is this space neurodivergent-friendly?
Hell yes. We welcome stimming, movement, sound, silence, eye masks, weighted blankets, and fidget tools. You can turn your camera off in live classes. You will never be shamed for being yourself.
Q: Do you use plain language?
We try to make our content digestible, inclusive, and non-clinical. If something’s confusing, just ask—we’ll adapt.
Q: Are classes closed captioned or sensory-adjusted?
Live streams & replays have captions or transcripts. Visuals are designed to be calm, and we avoid flashing lights or jarring transitions.
💻 CLASS & EVENT INFO
Q: How do I join a class or retreat?
You can book through our [website booking page] or join via [Insight Timer / Zoom / other platform]. Donations are welcome, but never required for live drop-ins unless specified.
Q: What if I miss a session?
No worries. Replays are available for most classes unless it’s a private or closed group circle. You’ll also get journal prompts or grounding practices to use anytime.
Q: Can I book a private session?
Yes. We offer private trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and coaching. Use the “Work with Me” tab to schedule.
Q: Do you offer group packages or classes for schools/centers?
We do! Especially for neurodivergent youth programs, domestic violence shelters, grief circles, or educators. Reach out for a custom quote or collaboration.
🌱 PHILOSOPHY & BELIEFS
Q: Do you follow a specific spiritual belief?
No dogma here. We honor yogic roots while making space for all faiths—or none. You’ll never be required to chant, pray, or believe in anything metaphysical to participate.
Q: Is this just for women or femme-presenting people?
Nope. All genders, orientations, bodies, and identities are welcomed and held with care.
Q: What if I’m skeptical of yoga or “woo” stuff?
We love skeptics. This isn’t toxic positivity yoga. We respect science and intuition. You don’t need to believe in chakras to benefit from nervous system regulation and embodied safety.
🪷 PRACTICAL STUFF
Q: What should I bring to a class?
A mat (or soft floor area)
Pillows or blankets
A journal (optional)
Fidget items, comfort objects, or anything grounding
Yourself. That’s the main thing.
Q: Do I need to keep my camera on during Zoom classes?
No. We prioritize safety over visibility. Your presence is enough.

🕊️ NESTLING KNOWS (the juicy extras)
Q: What if I cry or dissociate during class?
That’s valid. You’re not broken. We normalize emotional release and freeze states as part of healing. You will not be singled out or asked to explain anything.
Q: Do you offer sliding scale or free classes?
Yes. Accessibility is part of our mission. Community care means no one is left out due to finances.
Q: Will I be “fixed” by the end of a course?
No. But you might feel more whole, more seen, and less alone. This work is about building safety—not perfection.
Q: Can I bring my emotional support animal?
If you’re in a virtual session—absolutely. Snuggle them close. We love fur babies, scalies, and all creatures who bring you peace.
Q: How is this different from therapy?
We are not licensed mental health providers (unless explicitly stated). We do not diagnose or treat mental illness. We offer somatic, embodied healing tools that complement—not replace—therapy.
